Men's Soccer Report (Week 6) - Transylvania Hands Anderson First Loss in League Play
GREENWOOD, IN- Transylvania handed Anderson its first loss of the conference season with a 1-0 win Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers moved to 4-1, while the host Ravens fell to 3-1 at the midway point of the league schedule.
Transy (8-3-1, 4-1 HCAC) also defeated Mount St. Joseph 3-0 earlier in the week as part of the squad's five match win streak. Junior Tony Spero (Lexington, Ky./Dunbar) netted two goals against the Lions and scored the game's lone goal against the Ravens, earning the league's Player of the Week honor.
Rose-Hulman earned it's fifth straight win with a 1-0 win at home against Manchester. The Engineers (7-4-1, 3-0 HCAC) remain as the league's only unbeaten team in confernece play and have yet to surrender a goal in HCAC play.
