Men's Soccer Report (Week 7) - RHIT Moves to 5-0 with Wins over Anderson and Hanover
GREENWOOD, IN- Rose-Hulman took control of the conference championship race with two crucial wins last week. The Engineers (9-4-1, 5-0 HCAC) ran their win streak to seven in a row with wins over Anderson and Hanover.
In Rose's 2-1 overtime win at Anderson, Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) netted the game winning goal in overtime. The senior forward scored the first goal in RHIT's 2-0 win at Hanover Saturday afternoon to earn the conference's Player of the Week award.
Transylvania (9-3-1, 5-1 HCAC) kept pace with the Engineers in the win column, blanking Bluffton 4-0 to move to 5-1 in conference play. Four different Pioneers scored in the win over the Beavers.
