Men's Soccer Report (Week 3) - Rose-Hulman Defeats Transy in HCAC Opener
GREENWOOD, IN- Rose-Hulman took early control of the HCAC men's soccer race as the Engineers netted a 1-0 road win in Lexington over Transylvania Saturday afternoon. Rose stands 3-4-1 overall this season and 1-0 in conference play.
Senior Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) scored in the 74th mintute on a pass from Tim Hollingshead (St. Peter's, Mo./Lutheran) to deliver the Engineers the win. The victory snapped a two game losing streak for RHIT. Rose's lone game this week will be at home against Illinois Wesleyan.
The HCAC schedule heats up a bit on Saturday as three games will take place. Mount St. Joseph travels to Bluffton and Defiance heads to Transylvania, while Manchester opens conference play at Franklin College.
