Men's Soccer Report (Week 3) - Transy Ranked 8th in Great Lakes Region

GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University's men's soccer team has moved up to No. 8 in the latest NSCAA Great Lakes Region poll after posting a 1-0-1 record last week.  The Pioneers (4-1-1, 0-0 HCAC) tied Wilmington 2-2 and beat Muskingum 4-2 during the week of play.

Zach Lange (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) and Christian King (Nicholasville, Ky./East Jessamine) each scored a goal and added an assist in the 2-2 tie against Wilmington last Wednesday afternoon.

Transy bounced back to earn a 4-2 win at Muskingum Saturday to cap off the week.  Senior forward Brian Williams (Lexington, Ky./Tates Creek) scored a pair of goals and added an assist in the 4-2 win over the Muskies, earning the HCAC Player of the Week award.

Anderson finished the week 1-1 and has now won two of their last three matches since starting 0-3.  The Ravens (2-4, 0-0 HCAC) dropped a 1-0 decision to Chicago early in the week before netting a 3-1 win at home over Trine.

The men's soccer conference schedule kicks off this Saturday with four matches across the league.
