Men's Soccer Report (Week 5) - RHIT Evens HCAC Mark at 1-1

GREENWOOD, IN - Rose-Hulman managed to even its league mark at 1-1 with a conference win this week.  The Engineers (6-5, 1-1 HCAC) defeated Mount St. Joseph 3-1 in Cincinnati following a 2-1 overtime loss to Greenville in non-conference play.

RHIT's Ben Green (Frisco, Tex./Centennial) scored a pair of goals in the 3-1 victory over Mount St. Joseph Saturday. The sophomore midfielder found of the back of net in the seventh and 46th minute, delivering the victory to the Engineers.

Rose will face Illinois Wesleyan in their final non-conference affair of the season before facing Hanover Saturday.

Anderson and Transylvania each moved to 2-0 in HCAC play and sit alone at the top of the standings. 

The Ravens (5-5-1, 2-0 HCAC) bounced back from a 1-0 overtime loss to DePauw to defeat Earlham 3-0 Saturday.  Sophomore midfielder Brad Rusche (New Palestine, Ind./H.S.) had two goals, including the game winner, against the Quakers.

The Pioneers (4-4-2, 2-0 HCAC) were impressive in a 5-0 defeat of Bluffton Saturday in Lexington.  Transy began the week with a non-conference loss to Capital.

Franklin opened the HCAC schedule on Saturday against Manchester.  The Grizzlies (6-4-1, 1-0 HCAC) pulled out a narrow 2-1 overtime win over the Spartans when Chad Parrett (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) scored an unassisted goal in the 94th minute.
