Men's Soccer Report (Week 4) - Pioneers Move to 5-1-1 on the Season

GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University moved to 5-1-1 overall this season with a pair of wins last week.  The Pioneers (5-1-1, 0-0 HCAC) won in overtime at Asbury 2-1 and closed the week with a dominant 4-1 victory in Lexington over Marietta.

Junior's Eric Froschauer (Union, Ky./Ryle) scored two goals and added two assists in the wins.  Froschauer contributed an assist and two goals against Marietta and added an assist in vs. Asbury.

Junior forward Kyle Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) also netted a pair of goals, finding the back of the net twice in the win over Asbury.

Hanover College (4-3-2, 0-0 HCAC) posted a pair of 2-1 wins at home against Wabash and Spalding last week.  Four different Panthers scored in the two victories.

Franklin College (1-5-1, 0-0 HCAC) earned its first win and tie of the season last week.  The Grizzlies blanked Marian (IN) 1-0 and tied Case Western Reserve 1-1 after two overtimes.

Junior goalkeeper Lucas Hill (Culver, Ind./Plymouth) gave up one goal in 200 minutes defending the net.  Hill had nine saves vs. Marian and six saves vs. Case.
