Christian King, Transylvania University, Men's Soccer
Transylvania University’s Christian King (Nicholasville, Ky./East Jessamine) scored a pair of goals as the Pioneers clinched a second-straight HCAC crown and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the second time.
The sophomore midfielder scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Anderson and added another goal in Transy’s 3-0 win at Mount St. Joseph.
With the two wins, the Pioneers earned the outright HCAC title and top seed in this week’s tournament.
Transylvania (11-4-3, 8-0-1 HCAC) is set to open the HCAC tournament against Earlham tomorrow at 2:00 PM.
