Transy’s Palmer Earns Second HCAC Men’s Tennis MVP Award

GREENWOOD, IN – Transylvania University’s Will Palmer (Lexington, Ky.) has been named the 2010 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Most Valuable Player. The sophomore was selected by the conference’s head tennis coaches for the second consecutive season and is the fourth Transylvania player to receive the award.

Palmer compiled a 17-7 record during the 2010 regular season and led the Pioneers to their eighth consecutive HCAC championship. He was 13-1 against conference competition this season and capped the year with a 5-0 showing at the HCAC tournament. Palmer was 7-3 overall at No. 1 singles and 5-0 vs. HCAC competition.
