Men's Tennis Report (Week 4) - Franklin Picks Up League Win Over Mount

GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College picked up its first win of the season with a 6-3 conference win over Mount St. Joseph Saturday.  The Grizzlies (1-3, 1-1 HCAC) win was their first action since a 6-3 loss at Defiance on March 7.

Franklin's Evan Pierle (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) led the Grizzlies in the win over MSJ. The junior dropped only one game in his two wins, earning an 8-0 triumph at No. 3 doubles and a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles. 

Franklin will face Hartwick and Nebraska Wesleyan in Hilton Head, South Carolina this weekend.

In other action...

Earlham College (5-3, 1-0 HCAC) finished a three game trip through Texas with a 2-1 record last week.  The Quakers beat Austin 8-1 and earned a 5-4 win over Texas-Dallas.  Earlham ended the three game swing with a 7-2 setback to Texas-Tyler.  Earlham will return to conference action at Anderson Thursday afternoon.
