William Draur, Defiance College, Men's Tennis
Defiance College’s William Draur (Toledo, Ohio/Waite) finished the week 5-0 at No. 1 singles and doubles as the Yellow Jackets earned conference wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the second time.
The sophomore opened the week by sweeping his two matches in a 5-4 loss at Division II Notre Dame Thursday afternoon, before taking a pair of matches in Defiance’s 7-2 win over Mount St. Joseph Saturday. Draur then won his No. 1 doubles match against Franklin in a 5-1 DC win.
Defiance (7-9, 5-2 HCAC) closes the regular season schedule at home against Findlay tomorrow afternoon.
