Will Palmer, Transylvania University, Men's Tennis
Transylvania University’s Will Palmer (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) went 4-0 against Franklin and Anderson over the weekend and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the second time.
The junior led the Pioneers to victories over the Ravens and Grizzlies and can clinch a share of their ninth-straight league title with a win over Mount Wednesday afternoon.
Palmer posted a pair of wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, dropping only 10 games during the weekend.
Transylvania (7-4, 6-1 HCAC) caps off the regular season Wednesday night before the HCAC Tournament begins Saturday morning in Indianapolis.
