Men's Cross Country Report (Week 7) - Grizzlies End Season with 6th Place Finish at Wilmington

GREENWOOD, IN -Franklin College ended the regular season with the conference's top finish at the Wilmington Fall Classic last weekend.  The Grizzlies were among six HCAC  schools competing at the 26 team event and placed sixth overall.

Jake Hojnacki (La Porte, Ind./H.S.) led all HCAC runners with a ninth place finish among the 265 runners.  The junior finished with a time of 26:02.77 and was named the conference's Runner of the Week.

Rose-Hulman finished ninth at Wilmington.  The Engineers were paced by Micah Aldrich (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central), who placed 10th overall with a time of 26:04.44.

Hanover, Mount St. Joseph, Bluffton, and Transylvania also participated at Wilmington.  The Panthers placed 15th overall, while the Lions placed 23rd, the Beavers 25th, and the Pioneers did not post a team score.

Manchester College finished its regular season with a victory at the Manchester Invitational.  The Spartans won the eight team event with Andy Williams (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge) earning the individual title (26:02).  The black and gold currently stand No. 5 in the Great Lakes Region.

Anderson also competed at Manchester, placing second overall.  The Ravens were paced by Taylor Holmes (Monticello, Ind./Twin Lakes) fifth place finish (26:36).

Defiance College was also in action last weekend.  The Yellow Jackets placed 24th overall at the Oberlin Invitational.

All squads will be off this weekend in preperation for the HCAC Championships on October 31 at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
