Men's Cross Country Report (Week 5) - Rose-Hulman Wins Earlham Invitational

GREENWOOD, IN - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team finished first out of four teams to win the Earlham Invitational last weekend.  The victory marked the second straight year that the Engineers have captured top honors at the meet.

Rose-Hulman's Micah Aldrich (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) led the way for the Engineers with a second place finish.  The sophomore finished with a time of 27:48 on the 8K course.

Juniors Clark Moser (Elwood, Ind./H.S.) and Tyler Kreipke (Zionsville, Ind./H.S.) both finished in the top five at the meet.  Moser placed third overall with a time of 27:55, while Kreipke finished fifth overall with a time of 28:07.

Franklin College finished ninth among a highly competitive 33-team field at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic.  Jake Hojnacki (LaPorte, Ind./H.S.) led the Grizzlies with an 18th place finish (26:31.5).

Hanover and Transylvania each ran at the Greater Louisville Classic, finishing 28th and 30th respectively.

Bluffton, Defiance, and Mount St. Joseph each competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Friday.  The Beavers did not post a team score, while Defiance finished 32nd and Mount placed 37th among the 38 Ohio schools.

This weekend's schedule is light as Rose-Hulman, Franklin, and Manchester will run at the Rose-Hulman Invitational Saturday morning.
