GREENWOOD, IN- The Indiana Intercollegiate meet was held on Friday at Indiana University in Bloomington. Manchester led the HCAC field with a third place finish in the "Small State" standings.
Senior Jon Cafarelli (Lansing, Ill./Marian Catholic) led the MU effort with a time of 26:17.22 to take 29th place in the overall individual standings.
The black and gold are currently ranked 26th nationally in a poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Rose-Hulman, Franklin, Hanover, Anderson, and Earlham also competed in Bloomington.
The Engineers placed fourth in the team standings, while FC and HC finished seventh and 10th overall. Anderson and Earlham placed 11th and 16th as a team.
Franklin College’s Kris Sandlin (Scottsburg, Ind./H.S.) led the HCAC field at the meet. The senior finished 15th among 199 runners competing at all NCAA Divisions, finishing the course in a time of 25:36.75.
Bluffton, Defiance, and Transylvania traveled to Otterbein University to compete at the Otterbein Invitational Saturday. The Beavers placed fifth overall at the meet, while Defiance and Transy placed 10th and 17th in the 17 team field.
All ten HCAC schools are off this weekend.
