Bluffton's Lindsey Miller Earns Second HCAC Women's Player of the Month

GREENWOOD, IN - Bluffton's Lindsey Miller (Wapakoneta, Ohio /H.S.) has been named April's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Player of the Month. The senior softball infielder led the Beavers to a 14-4 record in April, pacing BU into the HCAC Softball Tournament.

Miller was 31-for-57 (.544) at the plate and finished April with nine runs, 23 RBI, three doubles, and two home runs. She posted a .702 slugging percentage and reached base at a .487 clip.

For the season, Miller led the HCAC in batting average (.458), on-base percentage (.507), RBI (46), and hits (60).

The senior helped Bluffton to its best record in school history, finishing the season 30-13. She now holds nearly every significant season and career hitting record for Bluffton softball, including home runs, batting average, slugging percentage, RBI, and hits. She recently received the Katherine E. Little Award for being the top senior female athlete at Bluffton.

Miller is the only Bluffton female athlete to claim the award and has earned the honor three times during her career at BU.

The HCAC Player of the Month award is in its fourth year of existence. The award is voted on by the sports information directors of each member institution.
