Softball Report (Week 4) - Bluffton Ends Losing Streak with Sweep of Hanover

GREENWOOD, IN- Bluffton University ended an eight game losing streak on Saturday, sweeping Hanover on the road during a doubleheader.  The Beavers won game one 13-0 and held on for a 3-2 win in the second contest.

Bluffton received plenty of help from their offense in the 13-0 game one win.  Chelsie Osborne (Chillicothe, Ohio/Waverly) went 2-for-4 with a run scored and six RBI in the victory.  Senior Brooke Babcock (Findlay, Ohio/H.S.) contributed at the plate and on the mound, going 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI at the plate and pitching a complete-game one hitter.

In game two, Torrie Wilson (Delphos, Ohio/Jefferson) gave the Beavers just enough offense to win, going 1-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Bluffton (3-10, 2-0 HCAC) will try and ride last weekend's momentum into today's doubleheader with rival Defiance (11-5, 1-1 HCAC).  BU will close the week at home against Franklin (4-8, 0-0 HCAC) Saturday.
