Softball Report (Week 2) - Bluffton Returns from 12-Game Florida Trip

GREENWOOD, IN- Bluffton University got off to a solid start this season, earning seven wins in 12 tries down in Kissimmee, Florida.  The Beavers (7-5, 0-0 HCAC) began the week with five wins in their first six contests.

BU recorded wins over Catholic, Beloit, Hiram, Aurora, Baldwin-Wallace, Albion, and Coast Guard, while in the Sunshine State.

Freshman Lindsay Robertson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Northwest) led the Beavers offense during the 12-game trip, finishing the week 14-of-33 (.424) with seven runs scored, four doubles, a triple, five RBI, and two stolen bases. 

Freshman pitcher Megan Patton (Waynesfield, Ohio/Perry) finished the week 2-1 on the mound for the Beavers, posting a 1.26 earned run average in seven appearances at the Rebel Spring Games.  Patton fanned 28 batters in 33.1 innings of work, while holding her opponents to a .168 batting average.

Bluffton returns to action this week against Adrian and Alma in doubleheader action.
