Softball Report (Week 6) - Ravens Move to 8-0 in HCAC Play

GREENWOOD, IN- Anderson University remained hot last week and moved to 8-0 in HCAC action.  The Ravens (18-9, 8-0 HCAC) swept Rose-Hulman and Transylvania in league action, while earning a split against nationally ranked Trine.  AU has won 11 of its last 12 contests entering this week's play.

Sophomore outfielder Katie Lee (Anderson, Ind./Highland) finished the week 12-for-22 (.545) at the plate with six runs scored, three doubles, six RBI, and a stolen base to lead the AU offense last week. 

She also had the game-winning hit in the top of the seventh inning to beat No. 17 ranked Trine Wednesday.

Anderson's Devin Moorman (Batesville, Ind./H.S.) went 3-0 in the circle during the week for the Ravens.  The junior pitched 17.0 innings with seven strikeouts and a 2.06 earned run average. 

Moorman earned conference victories against Rose-Hulman and Transylvania, while also defeating No. 17 Trine 5-4 on Wednesday.

Anderson will play host to Manchester Wednesday afternoon in a HCAC tilt.  The Ravens will face Fontbonne in Bloomington, Illinois Saturday and will tangle with Blackburn and host Illinois Wesleyan on Sunday.
