Softball Report (Week 2) - Bluffton Earns 8-2 Record During Florida Swing

GREENWOOD, IN- Bluffton University finished off a 10-game road trip to Florida with an 8-2 mark.  The Beavers (8-2, 0-0 HCAC) finished the trip with a six game win streak.

Junior Jessica Kuzara (Flat Rock, Mich./Huron) provided the punch for Bluffton's lineup down in Florida. The junior finished the week 12-for-28 (.429) with 12 runs scored, a home run, six stolen bases, and 10 RBI to lead the Beavers to eight wins in 10 tries.

In the circle, Chloe Shell (Covington, Ohio/H.S.) posted a 4-2 record in six starts during the week. The junior threw a no-hitter against St. John Fisher, a team that earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament a year ago. For the week, Shell posted a 1.62 ERA with 22 strikeouts and three complete games in 30.1 innings of work.

Bluffton will return to action on Saturday, March 15 against Trine.  The doubleheader will be played in Fishers, Indiana beginning at 1PM.
