Pioneers Pegged to Lead the Pack in 2020

CARMEL, Ind. – Transylvania University was selected as the favorite heading into the 2020 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) softball season in a vote among league coaches in the preseason poll.

The Pioneers picked up six first-place votes, finishing first overall in the poll with a tally of 62 points. Just four points behind was Mount St. Joseph University, who's three first place votes helped them tally a total of 58 points for second. Anderson University took third with 44 points, while Franklin College was just a point behind with their 43 points. Defiance College rounded out the top half, with 39 points placing them in fifth.
