Megan Mitchell, Transylvania University, Softball (Hitter)

Transylvania University’s Megan Mitchell (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison) led the Pioneers to five wins in six games in Kissimmee, Florida and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week for the second time. 

The freshman finished the week 10-for-19 (.526) at the plate with six runs scored, two home runs, a triple, two doubles, and nine RBI.  She also posted a slugging percentage of 1.053 and an on-base percentage of .571 during the week. 

Transylvania (11-5, 0-0 HCAC) entertains Wittenberg on Thursday before a pair of conference doubleheaders against Mount St. Joseph and Hanover this weekend.
