Monica Crowe, Anderson University, Softball (Pitcher)

Anderson University’s Monica Crowe (Muncie, Ind./Wes-Del) posted a 0.85 ERA in four starts last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week. 

The sophomore pitcher went 2-2 on the week and posted a 0.85 ERA in four games on the mound.  The Muncie native pitched 24.2 innings and allowed only 11 hits, three earned runs, and six walks, while striking out 33 batters. 

Highlighting the week, Crowe threw her second career no-hitter in a 8-0 win over Hood.  She struck out 10 in the five inning win.

Anderson (7-5, 0-0 HCAC) plays host to Ohio Northern Wednesday before opening the HCAC campaign against Defiance Saturday.
