Amy Hommema, Manchester College, Softball (Hitter)
Manchester College’s Amy Hommema (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) helped the Spartans to a 3-1 mark in HCAC action last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week for the third time.
The sophomore catcher finished the week 8-for-18 (.444) at the plate with a double, a triple, three home runs, five runs scored, and nine RBI. Hommema registered a slugging percentage of 1.111 during the Spartans’ six game span.
Manchester (14-11-1, 3-1 HCAC) will face Anderson, Transylvania, and Franklin during conference play this week.
