Kendra DeArk, Transylvania University, Softball (Pitcher)

Transylvania University’s Kendra DeArk (Jeffersonville, Ind./H.S.) pitched her first collegiate no-hitter and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the third time. 

The junior tossed a no-hitter in a 2-0 win over Defiance, tallying a career high 15 strikeouts in the contest. 

For the week, DeArk was 2-2 with a 1.22 ERA in four appearances.  She had three complete games with 33 strikeouts and 13 hits allowed in 23.0 innings of work. 

The No. 23 ranked Pioneers (24-8, 7-1 HCAC) return to the diamond on Sunday against Hanover.
