Kelly Schnipke, Defiance College, Softball (Pitcher)
Defiance College’s Kelly Schnipke (Kalida, Ohio/H.S.) notched two complete games for a 2-0 record last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The junior pitcher did not allow a single earned run in 16.0 innings of work as the Yellow Jackets defeated Adrian College and Mount St. Joseph.
Schnipke held her opponents to a collective .207 batting average, while striking out six batters during her two outings.
Defiance (16-16, 5-7 HCAC) closes out the regular season against Rose-Hulman and Manchester this week.
