Shauna Bowers, Defiance College, Softball (Pitcher)
Defiance College’s Shauna Bowers (Delphos, Ohio/Delphos Jefferson) led the Yellow Jackets to wins over Rose-Hulman and Manchester and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The sophomore pitcher posted a 2-0 record with a 0.50 earned run average on the week, tossing 14.0 innings and allowing her opponents to a .235 batting average.
Defiance (18-18, 7-9 HCAC) finished in a tie for sixth place in the HCAC standings with Franklin at 7-9.
