Katie Miller, Defiance College, Softball (Hitter)
Defiance College’s Katie Miller (Archbold, Ohio/H.S.) led the Jackets to three HCAC wins over the weekend and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.
The junior utility player finished the week 8-for-17 (.471) with three home runs, three doubles, five runs scored, seven RBI, and a slugging percentage of 1.176.
Miller hit a tie-breaking two-run home run to give the Jackets a 5-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning at Franklin Saturday.
Defiance (7-20, 4-4 HCAC) will welcome rival Bluffton and Mount St. Joseph to campus this week.
