Yardley Collett, Anderson University, Softball (Hitter)
Anderson University’s Yardley Collett (Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah) led the Ravens to a doubleheader sweep of Mount St. Joseph Sunday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.
The freshman infielder went 4-for-6 (.667) at the plate with three runs scored, a double, a home run, five RBI, and a 1.667 slugging percentage as the Ravens finished the HCAC season with a perfect 16-0 mark.
Collett blasted a three-run game-winning home run in the seventh inning of AU’s 5-4 win over the Lions.
Anderson (27-10, 16-0 HCAC) will open the HCAC tournament Friday against Manchester.
