Carly Heibel, Rose-Hulman, Softball (Pitcher)
Rose-Hulman’s Carly Heibel (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Lakewood Park) tossed a complete game shutout in RHIT’s 1-0 win over Defiance and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The freshman allowed only four hits and struck out six Defiance hitters in the shutout win.
Heibel finished the doubleheader with a 1.75 earned run average in eight total innings of work.
Rose-Hulman (14-26, 7-9 HCAC) ended the season fifth in the HCAC standings.
