Women's Basketball Report (Week 1) - Hanover Impressive on Opening Weekend

GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College (2-0, 0-0 HCAC) posted impressive home wins over Kalamazoo and Ohio Northern to open their 2009-10 season.  The Panthers won decisively in both contests, defeating Kalamazoo by 18 and Ohio Northern by 25. 

Junior center Molly Martin (Terre Haute, Ind./North) scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds against the Hornets and added a career-high 32 points and 11 rebounds in the win over the Polar Bears. 

Junior forward Torin Franz (Bloomington, Ind./South) led the Panthers in scoring against K-Zoo, scoring 19 points in the victory. 

Hanover will remain home to face Centre this Sunday in their only game this week.
