Women's Basketball Report (Week 4) - Franklin Runs Win Streak to Five-Straight

GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College (7-1, 3-0 HCAC) ran its win streak to five straight with two HCAC wins last week.  The Grizzlies sit atop the conference standings with Anderson heading into the holiday non-league schedule. 

Franklin won an exciting game in Lexington over Transylvania on Wednesday night, outlasting the hosts in double overtime 97-94.  Traci Lippold (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as three Grizzlies notched double-doubles in the win. 

Franklin capped off the week with an impressive 83-46 win at home over Bluffton.  Heather Harper (Mooresville, Ind./H.S.) led four Grizzlies in double figures with 18 points and seven rebounds. 

Franklin remains home this weekend to host the Franklin College Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.  FC opens play at 6:00 PM Saturday evening against Marian (Wis.) and will play either Wartburg or Spalding on Sunday.
