Women's Basketball Report (Week 2) - Transy Wins Third Straight and Moves to 4-1

GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University (4-1, 0-0 HCAC) notched two more victories last week and moved to 4-1 on the young season. The Pioneers squeaked by Centre 58-57 Tuesday and beat Berea 77-56 this past Saturday.
Ashley Pait (Jeffersonville, Ind./H.S.) led TU with 15 points against the Colonels, while Holly Milburn (Georgetown, Ky./Scott Co.) added 11 points in the win. Sophomore forward Kennae Demus (Lexington, Ky./Lafayette) led Transy against Berea, scoring a team-high 20 points and adding a team-high nine rebounds.
Transylvania has won three straight games since dropping a 65-62 decision to Ohio Northern on Nov. 21.
The Pioneers will face a tough test tomorrow night as they travel to Hanover to open the 2009-10 HCAC schedule. Transy returns home to face Bluffton Saturday afternoon.
