Women's Basketball Report (Week 7) - Hanover Defeats Mount in HCAC Showdown

GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College (8-4, 2-2 HCAC) posted a 2-1 record over the holiday break and moved to 2-2 in league play.  The Panthers earned a split at Otterbein before handing Mount St. Joseph a nine-point defeat on Sunday.

Junior center Molly Martin (Terre Haute, Ind./North) scored 17 points and added seven rebounds in the opening round of the Otterbein tournament as HC defeated the hosts 73-63.  Martin was even more impressive in a championship game loss to Denison, netting 27 points and 14 rebounds in the 72-69 defeat. 

In a 77-68 conference win at Mount St. Joseph, junior forward Holly Vogel (N. Manchester, Ind./Manchester) led the charge with a game-high 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Hanover travels to Bluffton tomorrow night in its only game of the week.
