Women's Basketball Report (Week 13) - Tournament Schedule in Hands of RHIT
GREENWOOD, IN - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (4-19, 4-10 HCAC) remained alive in the race for the sixth and final spot in next week's HCAC tournament. The Engineers opened the week with a 57-55 loss to Anderson before handing Bluffton a 68-59 defeat Saturday afternoon.
Alisa Dickerson (Elizabethtown, Ky./H.S.) scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the loss to Anderson as RHIT nearly erased a 12 point halftime deficit.
Donna Marsh (Mobile, Ala./Baker) was the leading scorer against Bluffton, netting 20 points against the Beavers.
Rose closes the regular season schedule at Hanover and Mount St. Joseph this week and needs some help from Manchester to earn a bid into the tournament.
The HCAC tournament will be held on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday next week if the Engineers do not make the field. The tournament will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if they do qualify due to their final exam schedule.
