Women's Basketball Report (Week 11) - Transy Stays in First After Posting 7th Straight Win

GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University (14-5, 9-2 HCAC) continued their hold on the top spot in the league standings with two wins last week. The Pioneers have won seven straight games since suffering a non-conference loss to Wilmington on January 2 and have clinched a spot in the upcoming HCAC tournament.
Transy opened the week with a hard fought 72-70 win at home over Hanover. Holly Milburn (Georgetown, Ky./Scott Co.) scored a game-high 24 points on 11 of 16 shooting and added a team-high nine rebounds against the Panthers.
Milburn led the team in scoring once again in TU's 63-50 win over Rose-Hulman, netting 18 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Transylvania hits the road for two crucial HCAC contests this week. TU heads to second place Franklin Wednesday night before heading north to third place Defiance Saturday.
