Women's Basketball Report (Week 12) - Franklin Recaptures 1st Place with 2-0 Week

GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College (16-5, 10-2 HCAC) took over first place in the HCAC standings once again with two wins last week.  The Grizzlies have now won five in a row after posting wins over Transylvania and Anderson. 

In a 65-54 win over Transy, Heather Harper (Mooresville, Ind./H.S.) led the scoring with 17 points and eight rebounds.  FC outscored the visiting Pioneers 42-30 in the second half to pull out the win and take over the top spot in the standings. 

The Grizzlies followed that performance with a 73-56 win at Anderson last night.  Kasey Dollens (Greenwood, Ind./H.S.) posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against the Ravens. 

Franklin will host rival Hanover tomorrow night in a crucial conference showdown and travel to Manchester Saturday.
