Women's Basketball Report (Week 11) - Grizzlies Run Win Streak to Seven Straight

GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College (15-4, 9-3 HCAC) continues to play inspired basketball, posting wins in their last seven HCAC tilts.  FC posted two road wins during the week of action, handing Rose-Hulman and Bluffton defeats.  The Grizzlies stand two games behind rival Hanover in the race for the league title with six games remaining. 

The blue and gold took care of business in Terre Haute, jumping out to an early 15 point halftime lead over the host Engineers.  Junior guard Sarah Condra (Nineveh, Ind./Whiteland) scored a game-high 21 points with seven steals in the win.  Senior Traci Lippold (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) connected three times from behind the arc to finish with 15 points.

Franklin held off Bluffton for a 67-62 road win Saturday afternoon.  Condra led the scoring once again for the Grizzlies, netting 24 points with nine rebounds and five assists.  FC shot 50.0% from the field, while holding the Beavers to 33.9% on the afternoon.

The Grizzlies are scheduled to face off with Transylvania down in Lexington tomorrow night.  The Grizzlies and Pioneers both stand 9-3 in league play, trailing Hanover by two games with six to play.

Transylvania handed Franklin a 65-64 defeat at the Spurlock Center on December 8.
