Franklin's Sarah Condra Garners Pair of All-American Honors

FRANKLIN, IN – Franklin College’s Sarah Condra (Nineveh, Ind./Whiteland) garnered two more women’s basketball player accolades for her senior season over the weekend.

The Grizzly senior guard was one of 20 players named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches of America’s Division III All-America Honorable Mention list. She also was selected to the D3hoops.com All-America Third Team, the Web site has announced.

Prior to earning those honors, Condra was voted the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player for 2011-12 and was a Top 10 Finalist for The Jostens Trophy.

The senior standout helped Franklin claim the HCAC regular season championship with a 16-2 record, capture its fourth league tournament title and subsequently earn the Grizzlies their seventh berth into the NCAA Division III tournament.

Franklin, which was ranked in the top 15 in two national Division III polls during the season, posted a school-record 25-3 overall mark.

Condra led the HCAC in scoring average and finished her career sixth among Franklin’s all-time scoring leaders with 1,401 points in three seasons.
