GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University maintained its lead in the race for a regular season crown, posting wins over Hanover and Rose-Hulman. The Pioneers (11-4, 7-1 HCAC) have now won three straight since falling at home to Franklin on January 2nd.
Sophomore guard Nicole Coffman (Liberty, Ky./Casey Co.) was dominant in the two league wins. Coffman scored a career-high 30 points with four assists and two steals in a 95-66 win over Hanover Wednesday.
In the Pioneers' 58-46 win at Rose-Hulman Saturday, Coffman scored 16 points with one rebound, one assist, and one steal.
For the week, the sophomore averaged 23.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 50.0% from the floor.
Transylvania currently holds a one game lead in the league standings and will tangle with Mount St. Joseph and Anderson this week.

Franklin (12-3, 6-2 HCAC) ran its win streak to six straight after notching wins over Manchester and Mount St. Joseph at the Spurlock Center.
Junior forward Krista Schott (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) turned in a pair of versatile performances in the two triumphs. Schott scored a team-best 11 points with five rebounds and five assists in the Grizzlies' 47-43 win over Manchester. She added ninen points, five rebounds, and six assists in a 66-54 win over Mount St. Joseph.
Defiance (9-6, 6-2 HCAC), Hanover (11-4, 5-3 HCAC), and Manchester (6-9, 5-3 HCAC) each split their conference contests last week. The Jackets currently stand alongside Franklin in the standings, while the Panthers and Spartans sit two games out of first place.
Bluffton (8-7, 3-5 HCAC) won a pair of league tilts last week, knocking off Earlham and Anderson at home. The Beavers currently occupy the sixth and final spot in the race for an HCAC tournament berth.
