GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College saw its win streak reach eight straight following a pair of conference wins last week. The Panthers (13-8, 11-3 HCAC) beat rival Franklin 67-64 to take over second place in the standings and closed the week with an 86-75 win at Earlham to clinch a spot in the upcoming HCAC tournament.
Freshman guard Jessie Davidson (Lexington, Ind./Austin) scored 14 points with four rebounds in the win over Franklin. Davidson had 12 points in the second half as Hanover rallied from a double-digit deficit to earn the win.
The freshman added a career-high 28 points with seven rebounds in the win at Earlham Saturday.
Hanover will play host to Rose-Hulman and Anderson this week.

Transylvania University (19-2, 13-1 HCAC) maintained its two-game lead in the race for a conference championship. The Pioneers were dominant in wins over Mount St. Joseph (106-67) and Anderson (85-65), running their win streak to five in a row.
Sophomore guard Katelyn Smith (Hazard, Ky./Perry Co. Central) scored 24 points with seven rebounds and three assists against MSJ and added a team-high 25 points with seven rebounds in the win over Anderson Saturday.

Franklin College (12-9, 10-4 HCAC) bounced back from the loss to Hanover and claimed a 75-53 win over Bluffton Saturday. The Grizzlies occupy the third spot in the league standings and can clinch a spot in the upcoming HCAC tourney with a win over Transylvania or Earlham this week.
Manchester University (11-10, 8-6 HCAC) posted a 2-0 mark last week with wins over Bluffton and Rose-Hulman. The Spartans can lock up a tourney spot with wins over Anderson and Mount St. Joseph this week.
