Molly Martin, Hanover College, Women's Basketball
Hanover College's Molly Martin (Terre Haute, Ind./North) led the Panthers to two wins last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time.
The junior forward scored 25 points and added 15 rebounds in a 69-64 non-conference win at Indiana-Southeast on Tuesday evening. She added 16 points and 13 rebounds in a dominant 94-78 win at home over Defiance Saturday afternoon.
In the win over IUS, Martin became the 11th player in Hanover history to score more than 1,000 career points.
For the week, Martin averaged 20.5 points and 14.0 rebounds and continues to lead the HCAC in scoring (20.7 ppg) and rebounding (11.7 rpg) this season.
Hanover (5-2, 1-2 HCAC) will travel to St. Louis to face nationally ranked Washington (Mo.) and Fontbonne this weekend.
