Heather Harper, Franklin College, Women's Basketball
Franklin College's Heather Harper (Mooresville, Ind./H.S.) scored a season high 29 points against Ohio Wesleyan this past week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
The senior center scored 16 of her season high 29 points in the second half as the Grizzlies rallied past Ohio Wesleyan for an 82-76 win. Harper hit 10 of her 14 field goal attempts and grabbed 11 rebounds in the consolation win, earning a spot on the all-tournament team. In the first round, Harper scored a team high 17 points and added eight rebounds in a 65-61 loss to Carnegie Mellon.
For the week, the senior averaged 23.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 65.4% from the floor.
Franklin (9-3, 3-0 HCAC) returns to conference play at home against Anderson and Manchester this week.
