Sarah Condra, Franklin College, Women's Basketball
Franklin College’s Sarah Condra (Nineveh, Ind./Whiteland) led the Grizzlies to the title at the Franklin Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Condra connected on two three-pointers in the last 1:39 and scored 25 points to lead FC to a 52-47 win over No. 9 DePauw in the championship contest Saturday.
The senior guard scored 18 points to lead FC in a 57-48 win over North Park in the opening round of the tournament.
Condra was also Franklin’s leading scorer in a 77-56 win over St. Mary-of-the-Woods in the season opener, scoring 22 points with six rebounds.
For the week, Condra averaged 21.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 48.9% from the field and 47.6% from behind the arc.
Franklin (3-0, 0-0 HCAC) will travel to Spalding and Kalamazoo during the week.
