Lauren Hutton, Bluffton University, Women's Basketball
Bluffton University’s Lauren Hutton (New Riegel, Ohio/H.S.) led the Beavers to a pair of wins last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The junior forward just missed out on a pair of double-doubles as the Beavers posted their third and fourth consecutive HCAC wins.
Hutton scored 19 points and added nine rebounds in Bluffton’s 54-50 win over Manchester Wednesday evening. She followed that performance with 15 points and nine rebounds in a 70-62 win over Rose-Hulman Saturday.
Bluffton (6-11, 4-6 HCAC) will look to stretch its four game win streak against Earlham and Franklin this week.
