Alicia Hopkins, Hanover College, Women's Basketball

Hanover College’s Alicia Hopkins (Columbus, Ind./East) stuffed the stat sheet as the Panthers earned a pair of road wins and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. 

The junior guard scored 16 points with six rebounds, three assists, and five steals in an 80-77 win at Rose-Hulman.  Hopkins followed that effort with a career-high 25 points, adding nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals in an 88-77 overtime win at Defiance Saturday. 

For the week, Hopkins averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 4.5 steals per game as the Panthers took over third place in the HCAC standings. 

Hanover (9-8, 7-3 HCAC) will travel to Mount St. Joseph Wednesday before playing host to Bluffton Saturday.
