Women's Golf Report (Week 5) - Franklin MarksTitle at Franklin Fall Invitational

GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College claimed the title at the Franklin Fall Invitational last weekend.  The Grizzlies earned the team title at the Legends of Indiana Golf Club by 24 shots over second place Hanover.  The event featured four HCAC schools with Manchester finishing fourth and Anderson fifth.  It was the final event before this weekend's HCAC Championships in Lexington, Ky.

Senior Natalie Daugherty (Vevay, Ind./Switzerland Co.) led FC, posting the top score in the one round event.  The senior fired a round of 82 to hold off teammate Grace Adams (Ossian, Ind./Norwell) by a single stroke.

Hanover's Molly Burpo (Martinsville, Ind./H.S.) placed fourth at the invite with a round of 85 to lead the Panthers.

Manchester was paced by Erica Hahn's (Walkerton, Ind./John Glenn) fifth place finish (88), leading the Spartans fourth place finish. 

This weekend, the HCAC Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Lexington, Ky.  The two-day event will be held at the University Golf Club with action beginning at 11:00 AM each day.
