Anderson University Hires Tyler Daniels to Coach Golf Teams

ANDERSON, IN - Anderson University graduate and
former men's golfer Tyler Daniels has been named the head coach of
the men's golf team for the 2012-13 season, replacing longtime
coach Paul Gray.
"I'm very honored to have been named the men's and women's golf
coach for Anderson University," said Daniels. "This school and its
golf program really mean a lot to me, and I look forward to helping
them both continue to succeed."
Daniels had been an assistant coach under Gray for the last four
years and is also the head coach of the women's golf team as well
after taking over for Marcie Taylor.
"I know I've got some big shoes to fill following Coach Taylor and
Coach Gray, but I'm very excited to build upon the foundations they
laid in the program," said Daniels.
He was a two-year letterwinner on the men's golf team for the
Ravens and was All-Conference at the 2009 HCAC Championships and
the runner-up at the 2008 HCAC Championships. He was also
All-Conference in men's golf at Sinclair Community College in
2007.
He is currently the head golf pro at Killbuck Golf Course in
Anderson.
Daniels earned his bachelor's degree in History from Anderson in
2009 and is currently working on his MBA at Anderson. He graduated
from Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio, where he was played on
the baseball and men's golf teams.
Gray coached the Ravens for 22 seasons before his retirement this
spring, winning three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference
Championships (1992, 2000-01).
