Women's Golf Report (Week 2) - Panthers Capture Title at Hanover Invite

GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College earned the title at the Hanover Invitational over the weekend, claiming a team title for the third time in four tries this season.  The Panthers held off Rose-Hulman by five strokes to earn the title.

Senior Erika Shepherd (Jeffersonville, Ind./H.S.) earned medalist honors to lead the Panthers lineup. The senior finished with a two-round total of 153 (77-76) at Shadowood Golf Course.

As a team, Hanover totaled 644, while Rose-Hulman finished with a 649.

Rose-Hulman sophomore Ashton Foushee (Glasgow, Ky./H.S.) finished second in the individual standings, totaling a score of 159 (78-81) at the 36-hole event.

Franklin College placed third and was followed by Manchester (5th) and Anderson (7th) in the standings.

This weekend's schedule is highlighted by the Manchester Invitational on Saturday.
