Women's Golf Report - Week 2

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Inclement weather continues to follow the 2018 women's golf season for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Four HCAC institutions were able to complete one round of golf on Saturday last week. Bluffton, Defiance, and Manchester all competed at the Defiance College Fall Invitational at White Pines Golf Course, while Transylvania traveled to Memphis, Tenn. to compete in the Rhodes College Classic.

The Manchester Spartans earned a fourth place finish out of the field of 11 teams with an 18-hole team score of 352. Manchester's Kaitlyn Cook took fourth place after shooting an 81 in the first round and final round of play. Defiance College finished in ninth place with a team total of 404, while Bluffton placed 11th totaling 444 strokes at the Defiance Fall Invitational.

Transylvania finished third out of seven teams only five strokes behind the leader. Leading the way for the Pioneers was Lexie Lamar who finished in a tie for third with a one under par stroke total of 72. The Pioneers finished four golfers in the Top 15 after 18 holes on Saturday.
