Women's Soccer Report (Week 6) - Hanover Remains Perfect with Two HCAC Wins
GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover's women's soccer team moved to 3-0 in league play with impressive victories over previously unbeaten Transylvania and Bluffton. The Panthers knocked off the Pioneers 4-1 at home before blanking the Beavers 4-0 Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Olivia Selm (Zionsville, Ind./H.S.) netted two goals in the win over Transylvania last Wednesday night. Junior Lindsey Jump (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview) added a goal in each of the Panthers wins. Hanover has won five straight matches to move to 8-3-1 overall this season.
Mount St. Joseph moved to 2-0 in conference action with a 4-0 win over Defiance in the Lions only game last week. Sophomore Andrea Caldwell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Purcell Marian) found the back of the net three times in the win over the Jackets and earned the HCAC Player of the Week award for the second time. The sophomore currently leads the HCAC with eight goals this season.
Transylvania earned its 12 point in the standings with a 6-0 win over Anderson last week, while Rose-Hulman won its second and third straight conference matches to move to 3-1.
